Cancer Action 5K

Last weekend we ran our first 5K - The Cancer Action Grand Prix. A very special thank you to everyone that pledged money for the run. It was much appreciated and went to a very worthy cause.

And we're off.

Russ coming in strong across the finish line.

A few minutes later I finished. I made it without stoppng to walk at all so Talley burgers are on you, Lloyd!!

WWVIII

We had our 8th Weiderman Weekend this year at Fuller's Campground on Clear Lake in Buchanan, Michigan.

Russ being a kid again with Owen on the swings.

Here's ma back at the cabin. We stayed in this 100+ year old cabin for the weekend. Very rustic but it was definitely nice to have a roof over our heads when the rain came.

Owen and I are together again! He even came with my mom to pick us up at the airport. What a sweetheart!

Friday night we were able to have a campfire and roast some hot dogs and brats.
And of course, marshmallows for smores! On Saturday morning, Grandma was able to join us.

It rained all morning on Saturday so we decided to get some euchre and Go Fish going. After a while the rain lightened up and several people headed for the lake.Let the Deep Fry Extravaganza begin! We deep fried pickles, onion rings, french fries and fish. Mmmm. The weather cooperated...
...for a little while at least.

The campground hosted karaoke in the barn on Saturday night so to do something out of the rain we joined in. I think just about everyone made it up for a song or two.
Born to be Wild??
I'm not so sure about that.

It's fun to stay at the YMCA!
Despite a really rainy Saturday it was a great time and we really enjoyed hanging out with the family. We can't wait for next year.
