Kalahari Resort

We just got back from a couple days at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio.  We met Nick, Megan and Dechlan there for a little fun.  Surprisingly, Calleigh was a little uneasy in the water (she loved the pool last summer and has a great time in the bath) but we had a lot of fun anyway and it was really nice that we all got to hang out together for a couple days.

Calleigh and Dechlan are both walking now and it was so darn cute to see them both waddling down the hall to the waterpark.  Calleigh got so excited she would just laugh all the way down the hall.

The kids are jacketed up and we're ready to hit the water.

They have this really cool indoor play area that was a lot of fun but made us adults realize that we are OLD!  We were just as exhausted as the kids after crawling all over the place and everything hurt.

We can't wait to go again - hopefully next year!

Girly Fun

I "made" this headband and came across these beads the other day so I thought I'd have a little fun with Calleigh.

Blueberry Pancakes

No, Calleigh was not in a fight - she just really got into her blueberry pancakes this morning!

Blizzard 2011

Well, I guess we got pretty lucky because the blizzard really didn't seem too bad here.  Yeah, the wind was really blowing the snow around but we didn't get near as much snow as we thought we would.
We ventured out yesterday afternoon to clear away some of the snow at Russ's parents.  Calleigh just chilled in the snow and watched us as we cleaned off the cars and blew away the snow in the driveway. She didn't have much choice, she couldn't really move in all that snow anyway.

Our little snow bunny.

Think Spring!!

I bought this hyacinth last spring.  When it was done blooming, I put it in a dark spot in the basement thinking that I'd get it out in the fall and plant the bulbs outside.  Well, of course I forgot.  Russ came across it a few weeks ago in the basement and a little bit of green was starting to pop up.  I brought it upstairs and started watering it and now its blooming (yay!).  So, as I sit here looking out at all this snow still coming down, I'm hoping my pretty little hyacinth and Punxsutawney Phil (he didn't see his shadow!) are signs that spring will be here soon.
