Happy 1 year anniversary!

Yesterday was our 1 year anniversary. I can't believe a year has gone by already! We took advantage of the nice weather and celebrated at home with some steaks on the grill. Russ even brought me some gorgeous flowers home.

The Old Timers

During our trip home to Michigan, Russ and Chad played in The Old Timers tournament in Lansing.  Their team placed 4th but they had a lot of fun hanging out and playing hockey together over the weekend.

Their good buddy, Lloyd was even able to join them for a couple games.

My Big 3-0!

To celebrate my 30th birthday, Russ and I went to the Tigers game.

We were able to get to the game early and catch batting practice along with some close-ups of some of our favorites.

A good sign!! Granderson's taking fielding practice after being on the DL the last few weeks with a broken finger.

Russ was lucky enough to catch (kind of) a ball from one of the Tigers during batting practice. That made his night!

So far Mag's bat hasn't been as hot as last year but his tush sure is!
We had a great view from right field.

Actually, the Tigers pulled it together that night after being down by 5 runs on two occasions during the game. They ended up beating the Royals 11-9.
I got my birthday wish!

A trip home to Michigan!

Chad and Kourtney's wedding is coming up in May! We headed back to Michigan for a bridal shower that Russ' mom gave for Kourtney.

Russ and Russ Sr. grilled up some chicken for the shower.

While the ladies did their thing, Russ and Chad were able to hang out.

After the shower, I headed down to Ohio to visit my mom and Mike. Mike just got a new toy and was anxious to show it to me.

Some much needed landscaping! My mom gave me some perennials and a few bushes from her yard. There's more there than you can see. It definitely looks better than the dirt and weeds we had up until now. Hopefully, they'll make it while we're gone this summer!

St. Patty's Day

On St. Patty's Day, we headed to the local Irish pub, O'Dowd's, with a bunch of Russ' co-workers from GM. There was great live entertainment and plenty of good food and beer.

By the end of the night, Russ was double-fisted.

That's a water in the left hand and a coffee in the right!

Oh happy day!

Russ reached his goal of being under 200 lbs!
He's lost over 55 lbs since the beginning of last year. It definitely put a smile on his face.

Let's hit the road...

On February 15th, we headed for our new (temporary) home in Kansas City, Missouri.
Russ waves good-bye to our house in Michigan.
We sure are going to miss it!

After an overnight visit in Bloomington, Illinois, with my step-brother, Jim, and his wife, Sarah, we finally made it to Missouri on Sunday.

Russ is a Chiefs fan already. Can you blame him?
