Calleigh's First Baths

Calleigh's cord took almost a month to fall off. When it finally did, we were anxious to give her her first bath in her Tummy Tub and in her whale tub. The idea behind the Tummy Tub is that it creates a womb-like atmosphere for the baby and therefore makes her feel more secure and relaxes her. She really liked it. The water came up to her shoulders and made her feel more bouyant and she kept trying to stand up. She has such strong legs!

She got cold quickly after getting out of her bath so we tried to get her snuggled up in her robe. She was gearing up to start screaming here.

Since she can't sit up or hold her head up yet, her whale tub is a little easier right now to give her a bath in. She had fun in the tub which has surprised me because she doesn't seem to like being naked. (Daddy and I hope this trait continues into her teenage years!)
